Yesterday at work, I got to play with a hedgehog!! Hedgehogs are super cool in person. At least, this one was. She was nervous but affectionate, and extremely cute. If you've never pet a hedgehog, you should. Her texture was the most unique I've experienced, probably ever. Seriously. She was spikey, but not sharp spikey. And her owner was carrying her in the kind of little sling/pouch thing that I'll probably carry my offspring in, which won me over right way.

I love my job. :)

Whoah, I got nudged! I think that may have been my first "official" nudge! ;)

So, um, my immediate news is that I stopped at Taco Bell on my way home, and placed my usual order, and instead of the "NO sour cream", which I make very clear, I not only got sour cream, I got charged for EXTRA sour cream! Bunch of DICKS!!!

In other news, I've had a crazy busy week. I have to wake up in approximately 4 hours for the garage sale my sister & I are having at her house. She has Bloody Mary fixin's, and I have Mimosa fixin's, which should make the 4 hours of sleep run much smoother than usual.

I promise to make a proper update soon...I apparently deleted my "drunk post" icon, which means I need to mention within the body of the post that I am, in fact, drunk. Hey, an out of town friend's band was playing in town, what can I say?

I am now going to resort to possibly illegal tasks, and wait for my hot, hot boyfriend to get home and do me. :x

I hope the rest of you have had as awesome a day/night that I have. :)

I'm having that weird day-light-savings time confusion thing all over again today. I'm guessing today must be the day that "should have" been the time change?

See, neither my computer nor my <s>VCR</s> DVD Player (omg, duh!) changed themselves back in March. Those happen to be the two clocks that I glance at most often, so I had gotten used to the fact that it was actually an hour later than those clocks displayed.

Well, I got up today around 10:00 am, started some laundry, let the dogs out, and so forth, and then plopped down at my desk to check e-mail and what-not. I was shocked to see that two hours had gone by when I glanced at the computer clock, and it said it was 11:00, which of course meant that it was already noon. My glance at the DVD player clock confirmed this on my way into the kitchen to do dishes.

Imagine my surprise when in the midst of dish-washing, I glanced at the kitchen clock, and it said it was 11:15. Confused, I walked back to the living room, and the DVD player also told me that it was 11:15. It was then that I realized that today must be the "real" time change, and I've been thinking it should be an hour later than it really is ever since.

I'm guessing that for some of those things, there is disagreement on *when* those things should be disclosed. There are other things that most of us can probably generally agree when they should be disclosed. (Example: STD Status should be disclosed prior to a sexual encounter, yes?)

To the person whose LJ this came from, I'm not picking on you, this just got my wheels a-turnin'.

My question to you, LJ friends, is what information do you believe should be disclosed prior to a first date?

Also, if there are items that would be a deal-breaker, for even just a first date, whose responsibility is it to determine whether or not those items are a factor for the potential date? For example, if I would absolutely never ever even consider a first date with a Catholic, should it be my responsibility to ask potential dates their religion? Or should all people, knowing that for some people, religion is a deal breaker, automatically disclose that to potential dates?

Ok. Go.

I've begun the painfully tedious task of converting my journal to (mostly) friends-only. Pretty much anything pertaining to my personal life will be under friends-lock. Random silliness, religious/political views, and other posts that do not relate to my personal life will remain public.

So....uh....who wants to volunteer to make me a purty friends-only banner thing-a-ma-jig? *puppy dog eyes*

The other change that will take place is that all updates related to my band will be moved to gingerpresley, and will be public. If you'd like to keep tabs on my band, feel free to friend that journal. I recently discovered that a google search for my band's name leads to my personal journal, and I'm just not comfortable with that. This is my solution. I hope it works. (I'll probably have to remove that from this post when I get this transition complete, or make this post friends-locked.)

*sigh*

Happy New Year!!

*hopes the door hit 2007 on the ass on the way out*

I had a great time ringing in 2008 with my sweetie and friends. I am SO optimistic about 2008. I ran into one of Ryan's and my mutual friends on NYE, also named Ryan, and we were talking about how 2007 was pretty much a wash, and that we were happy to have broken even with the good stuff vs. the bad stuff. The first half of 2007 was pretty rough on me, but falling in love with Ty helped the year to redeem itself. I'm just SO excited to have the chance at a year that both starts AND ends well!

I've already started a list of affirmations for the new year. I've also settled on two resolutions which I hope will be easy to maintain. They are to remember to stretch and to take my vitamins daily. I've been slacking on my health consciousness as of late, and I'd like to turn that around. I need to make healthier choices all around, but I think stretching and vitamins are a good start for a daily commitment.

What are you affirming or resoluting for 2008?

Here's to health, wealth, and happiness for all in the aught-eight! :)
